Care Instructions

Taking good care of your sheepskin boots and slippers will keep them soft, stylish, and comfortable for seasons to come. With a little regular maintenance, you’ll protect the sheepskin, prevent stains, and extend the life of your footwear.

Protecting with Water Repellent

To keep your sheepskin boots looking their best, we recommend applying a Water & Stain Repellent Spray before first wear.

  • Spray evenly over the entire surface.

  • Allow 10 minutes to dry.

  • Reapply after your boots have been exposed to moisture.

This creates a protective barrier against water, oils, and dirt, helping your boots last longer.

Cleaning Your Sheepskin Boots

  1. Wet the boots all over with cold water (never use hot water, as it can shrink the sheepskin).

  2. Apply a Cleaning Spray or mild sheepskin detergent to a clean sponge or soft brush.

  3. Gently scrub the boots in even strokes.

  4. Rinse thoroughly with cold water.

  5. Reshape by stuffing with a clean towel.

  6. Let them dry slowly and naturally – away from heat or sunlight.

⚠️ Never use a clothes dryer, heater, or direct sunlight. Boots should be air-dried, ideally upside down from the sole. Full drying may take several days. Slight shrinking is normal – once worn again, they’ll soften and mould back to your feet.

For extra protection, finish with another coat of Water & Stain Repellent Spray after drying.

Removing Stains

  • Grease stains: Scrape some white chalk powder over the stain, leave for a few minutes, then gently rub and repeat as needed. For very stubborn stains, fine sandpaper can be used – but this may lighten the colour.

  • Rain spots: Rub the affected areas gently against each other (skin-to-skin) to even out the marks.
